*blue-eyed girl*
Today we got to see my best friend from high school, Cheryl, and her cute little family (we don't get to see them much!), and I got to do a little photo shoot of her adorable little girl. I am still in the middle of editing these pictures, but here is a sneak peek! For more pictures, check out my photography blog! I am just in love with her big blue eyes - and as you will see, she got that from her mommy!

I love this time of year...
I just love the holidays, and am so excited to have a toddler at Christmastime! This week we got out our box of Christmas decorations and it was so much fun, because we never got to get them out last year. We are so excited to get a Christmas tree (but have no idea how the ornaments are ever going to stay on there...), and are so grateful to have a beautiful place of our own to live and for all our many blessings. Bring out the twinkle lights and the hot cocoa....here comes Christmas!! :)

playing in the vleaves.
This year James loved playing in the "vleaves" (mostly - sometimes they bugged him) and was very concerned when his grandparents started putting them in big plastic bags. He'd grab leaves from the bag (one at a time) and put them back on the pile.

I know what I'm doing tonight...
I just discovered that the rest of the Lost Season 5 episodes are now on Hulu! I could hardly contain my excitement so I thought I would share :) We have been waiting and waiting to see what will happen....
If you haven't seen this show, then you seriously need to.

It's always nice...
...when you go to the dentist for the first time in quite some time, as in 4+ years (me: 4, husband: more than 4), and you have no cavities.
Aw yeeah.
*Plus, what a great date idea: simultaneous dentist appointments. So romantic.

you're making me sleepy...
Sundays are sure long. Especially when you were up late on Saturday, you get no nap, you have church at 1:00 in the afternoon, there are two high council speakers in Sacrament Meeting (which is the last meeting of the block), and your Mama is the choir director so you have to stay after church for an extra hour.
It's days like these when it's great to fall asleep at 6:00 p.m., and sleep through the whole night. Mommies and Daddies don't mind this, either.

great day
What a red-letter day: my child drank two glasses of milk for lunch (I know, miracle of miracles!), and he counted to thirteen (he surprises us every day!).

my very first family portrait shoot!
This week I shot my very first family portrait shoot for some good friends. It was so much fun, I am so excited about how they turned out! We did it at Wheeler Farm and the fall colors were just awesome, and this family is so cute. What fun! Visit my photography blog for more pictures!

He's a thinker
The other day, after we had been to Wheeler Farm, James and I had this conversation:
James: Anmals - again??
Me: Yeah, let's go again sometime!
James: Anmals - again??
Me: We'll go again sometime, but we can't go today because Daddy has the car.
...long pause, I could just see the wheels turning in his head...
James: Giki's car???
Me: (amazed at his intelligence and thought process) That would be fun, but by the time we could go, it would be too dark!
...another pause...he's thinking again...
James: Giki's house??
(Of course - if we don't have the car, and it's too dark to go to the farm anyway, why not just go to Jukie's house??)
Needless to say, we went to Giki's house. What a smart boy :)
