James' Blessing

We had such a great weekend with the Boster family. They came in town for James' blessing, and it was the first time that most of them had met James! We are so grateful that we were able to spend some time with them, and that they made it safely in the snowy weather!

We took a lot of pictures over the weekend, and forgive me if I post too many, but I just thought that since these are the first pictures of James with his Boster family, I should just put a whole bunch up!

James finally met his Grandma and Grandpa Boster, and boy did he love them! I first handed him to Grandpa, and James just smiled so big! We can't wait to take James to the farm in a couple of months to spend some more time with them! We had a great time visiting, eating food, playing games and just being together. It was fun to have a whole house full of Bosters! (Have I mentioned that I have the best in-laws in the world?)

James and his cousin Joshua are going to be great pals!

James and his Aunt Anna. She got him to sleep!

James and his Uncle Joseph were great buds this weekend!

Benjamin and Joshua.

We played a game of mafia and used these "unnecessarily large playing cards" (as my friend Rachel calls them). Andrew and Sierra found them perfect for hiding behind!

Hannah and Sierra

James loved his Aunts Sierra and Emma Jeane!

He sure loves his Uncle!

The Boster Family

James slept through the entire meeting, including the entire blessing! He was totally out. You know he is really asleep when his hands are down at his sides like this - he was just so relaxed!

Here is most of the family who was at the blessing - what a good-looking group!

My sister-in-law and sister - Emma Jeane and Abby. Aren't they the cutest ever?

(I must thank Benjamin for some of these pictures - I must admit that it is great to have an aspiring photographer in the family! Hope you don't mind I used some of your pictures here!)

Still sleeping!

James was quite the center of attention!

Thanks to Benjamin for these great close-ups of our little boy!

Here we are, relaxing at home after all the family left. What a great weekend we had! James loved the big party we had just for him!

Our Little Singer

The other night I was doing the dishes, while Jonathan was playing with James on our bed and singing to him. He was singing "I Am a Child of God," and as I was listening from upstairs I could hear James' little voice cooing right along with his Daddy. It was the cutest thing ever, he did it for quite awhile. The next day he "sang" right along with me too. It looks he may have gotten a few of those musical genes . . .

Our happy, happy boy!

This kid is a little ham for the camera - he sees the flash and just starts smiling!

The Joys of Parenthood

We love James so much, it is such a joy to be parents! He is starting to respond a lot more by smiling really big at us and "talking" to us, it is so much fun! We know he loves us anyway, but it really is nice to have him stop crying and smile at you when you come in the room, because he is so happy to see you! The other day he was crying, and while usually that means he's hungry and feeding him calms him down, he was content to just sit on my lap and cuddle. What a cute guy! It's times like those that make the OTHER times worth it - like when he spits up ALL over you (as in, all down your shirt, inside and out, and all the way down your skirt and dripping onto the floor!) or when he wakes you up every hour or two in the night because he's hitting a growth spurt and is always hungry!

Me and my baby. I am just so happy to be a Mom! I love it!

This kid is gonna steal all the girls' hearts when he's older...

Bath Time

James has never really loved his baths, but lately he has been doing a lot better. While he probably isn't LOVING them, he's not crying either! The part he DOES love, however, is when we wash his hair. He just lays there so content, it is the cutest thing ever. And he loves being wrapped up in his towel afterwards. Here are some great pictures from after his bath the other day.
