Miscellaneous James

I thought I'd post a few recent miscellaneous pictures of our boy. It is such an exciting time, what with his growing vocabulary and all, and he is so darn cute that I must share some of these...

I don't love how look in this picture, but I couldn't resist because I love the little man's smile in this one - he is such a happy boy, even when he is sleepy. He is looking more and more like a little boy to me instead of a baby.

Here he is with my aunt Jamie (Jamie is so sweet and thoughtful, she gave James these green pj's) and my awesome cousin Jordan (he is a riot - such a funny kid and we love it when he visits!) who were here for a little visit. He was still in the waking-up stage when the photo was taken (which is why he is clinging onto his stuffed elephant).

Here are James and his little buddy from church, Spencer. These boys are pretty close in age, and they are foyer friends during sacrament meeting quite often. Notice James' cute shirt with the tie and missionary tag attached.

James in his fuzzy jacket with his Grandpa. Grandpa just can't get enough of this little boy!

Grandpas are the best! James' Grandpa gave him his first taste of a sucker. James was very intrigued and took a few licks, but mostly just got all sticky.

"Mommy, why is my hand all sticky??"

More Labor Day Weekend Fun

Here are some more random pictures from our fun weekend in Oregon -

James and Aunt Anna - wow, this kid has got so many fun aunts and uncles!

Story time with Daddy before bed. This was actually really cute, Jonathan and I got James ready for bed, and then Jonathan started leaving the room and I was going to put James in bed - but when Daddy went to leave, James freaked out and reached for him and cried! We figured that he missed his nightly story time with his Dad, so I left the room (which James didn't even notice) and Jonathan read books to him and James was SO happy. He LOVES reading books with his Daddy - he loves to point to the pictures, like the mouse in Goodnight Moon. What a cute boy :) Oh, and by the way, we want to thank Uncle Spencer again for giving up his bedroom for the weekend so we could sleep in it - what a gentleman!

We celebrated Hannah's 3rd birthday while we were home! I can't believe she is three already - Bethany was pregnant with her when I first met Jonathan's family, when we were dating. It makes me feel like I've been in the Boster family for a long time! Can't believe how the time flies...

Hannah loves her new dress that Nanna made for her!

Cousins

James and his cousin Joshua are only a little over four months apart. It is so fun to see them both grow up, and as they get older they are seeming more and more the same age. Joshua is walking now and James is just learning how to stand up on his own - so pretty soon they'll be running around together and having tons of fun!

On Sunday while we were in Oregon for the Labor Day weekend, the boys would not behave during Relief Society, so Bethany and I took them outside and took some cute pictures of the boys together.

catching up

We have had a really fun weekend - we were able to have our friends Charles and Melissa and their son Henry over for dinner on Friday and we visited and played games with them. Henry is growing up so fast and is so cute! James was a little unsure at first and was a little taken aback by Henry's energy, but they were soon playing with toys together and had a fun time (despite being very tired). It was so fun to catch up with our old friends - Charles and Jonathan grew up in the same ward, and the four of us were all in the same ward when we were single. Here are some fun pictures -

On Sunday we had dinner at my parents' house and James found some very fun toys there. Whenever we go there, he plays with Abby's birthday balloon (which, miraculously, is still up after over two months) - it is his favorite thing to play with. He also played in Abby's new ottoman and loved it. It was so cute.

such fun things to play with!

After we ate dinner we went back home and some of Jonathan's family came over for a fun visit. Benjamin came, as well as Daniel and Bethany and their kids Hannah and Joshua. It was fun for the cousins to play together, and for us to catch up with Jonathan's siblings. We always have so much fun talking and visiting with them!

James has been discovering his new teeth lately and has started grinding them together - it is awful! He makes the funniest face, though -

girls' weekend out

This weekend my aunt Jamie took all of her nieces to Park City for the weekend. This has become an annual tradition to celebrate all of our birthdays. Jamie has always been so sweet to all of us and has always done fun things with us for our birthdays. This year we had more people with us than usual - two of my cousins got married in the past year and so their cute wives came along for the first time, and James got to come with us, too! What a brave kid to hang out with so many girls!

We stayed in a fun condo and played games and watched movies, and we went out to eat and had fun shopping at the outlet stores. It was a really fun weekend, and I am so grateful to Jamie for being so sweet and generous. James was really good, especially considering how tired he got, but he really was a champ. We ate a Mexican restaurant on Saturday night and he was getting pretty fussy, but Aunt Annie got sung to at the restaurant (we really were celebrating birthdays - plus, it's her birthday today! Happy Birthday, Annie!) and she gave James the balloon that she got, and he was SO happy after that.

Here is our whole group outside the restaurant - (back row, left to right) Kelsey, Annie, Kathryn, me, Jamie, Holly, Michelle, Whitney (front row, left to right) Megan, Liz, James, Abby, Sarah.

Glenn family bridal shower

This month we had a fun bridal shower that we gave for my cousin Jared's wife, Kelsey. It was held at my aunt Jamie's house, and all the aunts helped put it together and do the food, and I was in charge of doing some games. We played a fun game called "Name that Glenn Girl" - I put together a list of random/funny/interesting facts about each of us, and everyone had to guess which Glenn girl each one was about. It was tons of fun and we all got to know each other better! I am so grateful for my family and all the fun we have together.

It's not a bridal shower without awkward games, right?
