Latest James Antics

Our boy is quite the character and his little personality is so fun to watch develop. He is as busy as ever and it is quite exhausting chasing him around - but so much fun! Here are some of his latest antics -

* He points at everything and everyone. Obviously he has yet to learn that it isn't very nice to point at people, but it is cute anyway. When we're at the store or out in public he is just so fascinated by everything and he points his little finger at everyone.

* He bites - he is getting quite good at biting food with his teeth, but unfortunately he bites us, too! Recently we were getting James ready for bed - we had family prayer, and then as is a Boster tradition, Jonathan and I kissed after the prayer. We then kissed James on the head. Afterwards it was so cute, James leaned in and gave his Daddy and big old wet open-mouthed kiss on the chin. Then he did it again. He leaned in for the third time, but instead of planting a kiss on his Daddy's chin, he bit him! I have to admit that it was kind of funny.

* Today at church, my Mom was repeatedly kissing James on the cheek - he was just loving it and smiling, and he kept on leaning in for more. This went on for ever, she would kiss him, and then he would lean his head in and snuggle up to her face for more kisses.

* Tantrums - this kid has a little temper. Whenever we take something away from him (you know, like phones or electrical cords, fun toys like that) he just freaks out and gets very mad. Like I've said before, it's cute now, won't be so cute when he's older...

* James loves to play little games with us - one that we play is that he points his finger at us, and then we point at him and reach in to touch fingers, and then right before they touch, he grabs our hand. He loves to laugh and he loves it when he is sitting in his high chair and somebody sneaks up and says "boo!" - he just laughs and laughs.

* Our boy loves exploring, reading books with Mommy and Daddy, climbing up the stairs, trying to crawl down the stairs (face first) and trying to jump or crawl off of beds and couches (he hasn't really discovered gravity yet). He loves trying to crawl away from us and escape while we say "I'm gonna get you!! I'm gonna get you!" He crawls away so fast and smiles and smiles the whole time, until we get him and pick him up and then he just laughs. It is so fun!

* He loves crawling under the piano while we are playing it, and he also loves playing the piano with us. Sometimes I hold him on my lap while I practice and he just plays right along with me.
